Everything You Need to Know about Google Duplex

During the last Google’s annual developer conference in 2018, Google has unveiled their new technology that will really change the future of deferred tasks it’s “Google Duplex”.

What is Google Duplex?

It’s a Google assistant feature that can make calls on your behalf, no, not like Siri and Alexa, it’s more modified as it’s not a robot voice that calls people on your behalf, it actually sounds really natural as it uses language fillers and upspeak to make the sentence turns into a question. Furthermore, it can understand the complex sentences, the fast speech and can repeat the sentences at the request of the person on the other end.

Not just that, as even if the call doesn’t go as expected, Google Duplex will understand the context, the nuance and act normally to get the reservation or the task that is assigned to it.

So, that’s what makes people act normally when getting a call from Google Duplex, they actually will never know that it’s not a real person. However, as people may not like this, Google announced that it will inform the person on the other end that the caller is Google Assistant.

What Can Google Duplex Do?

It can make appointments for you at the hair salon, the dentist, make a reservation at restaurants, etc. and whenever the task is done, you’ll be alerted.

When Will it be Available?

Well, no one knows yet. Google announced that it will be launched soon as a beta. But, when is the real time of launching this great technology? Not known yet.
